Kingdoms and capitals are not the same names

The base-game introduction distinguishes Vermund, the human kingdom associated with the Arisen's rule, from Battahl, whose beastren culture centers on the Lambent Flame. Their capitals are Vernworth and Bakbattahl respectively. Keeping those names separate makes a shop or quest instruction much easier to follow.

This is a base-world orientation guide. Expansion coverage is organized separately through the Dark Arisen hub; the two kingdom descriptions are not a claim that no additional region exists.

Choose transport for the actual destination

Portcrystals are destinations used with Ferrystones, not substitutes for discovering where an objective is. CAPCOM's manual instructs players to interact with permanent Portcrystals to activate them and allows portable ones to be placed and moved. Check your available destination list instead of copying an old guide's assumed list of permanent points.

Vernworth's oxcart connections provide another way to plan journeys toward Melve or Checkpoint Rest Town. Read the fast-travel guide before assuming one transport option serves every destination. A regional name, a city and a roadside entrance may require different final approaches even when they appear close on a map.

Use a settlement as a preparation stop

Our recommended sequence is to choose the objective first, then decide where to prepare. For an equipment trip, identify the named seller in the weapon or accessory record. For a quest, read its current stage in the journal guide. For a monster material, open the corresponding encounter dossier before setting out.

A visible location icon is not evidence that a locked gate, special service or quest-dependent interaction is already available. Record that condition separately from the location name.

What this guide does not map

There are no invented coordinates, collectible markers or complete cave floor plans on this page. The map page now offers selected place filters, personal visit notes and a sourced travel-relationship schematic. Its geographic layer is still a labelled development preview; schematic node positions are not coordinates. Use the location records for documented services and route examples, and keep personal completion notes in the Dungeon Tracker. The tracker is not connected to your game save and cannot establish whether a route has been completed in-game.
