Dungeon Routes: Sealed Mining Shaft Entrance Example
Use a documented Sealed Mining Shaft approach to separate a dungeon entrance, a barred gate and a completion goal, with a practical personal route checklist.
- Worked example
- Sealed Mining Shaft approach in Battahl
- Important distinction
- A barred gate is not the same as an undiscovered map location
- Completion record
- Personal notes; no game-save synchronization

Record the entrance problem precisely
Before searching for a key, identify what is actually blocking you: an unexplored route, a gate barred from the other side, a quest condition or an interaction you have not performed. Those problems need different solutions. A location marker alone does not tell you which one applies.
The example below is a documented Battahl approach, not a complete guide to every dungeon. It provides a useful route decision without inventing coordinates or using promotional art as an entrance photograph.
Sealed Mining Shaft approach example
From Battahl Ropeway Central Station, operate the westernmost station's crank to bring over the lift. Ride toward Ropeway Station Three to the northwest. Climb down, deal with the mercenaries and break the bar holding the gate shut from the inside. From that gate, continue northwest and then north to the mine entrance.
The key distinction is the side from which the gate is approached. Standing outside it and repeatedly interacting is not the route described by the source. Use the Battahl orientation guide to distinguish the central station from the city-side boarding point. This short example does not certify every reward, enemy variant or chest position inside the cave.
Make a route note you can actually follow
Our suggested note format is starting point → transport or landmark → entrance condition → objective → return plan. For the example above, the starting point is the central ropeway station, the transport leads toward Station Three, and the gate is handled from the inside. Your personal objective might then be exploration rather than a specific item that this page has not verified.
Avoid recording only “go to the cave.” A useful note explains what to do differently if you reach the same obstruction again. If a route depends on a quest stage, record the actual journal wording alongside the destination.
Separate visiting from completing
In the Dungeon Tracker, add the destination and a short note. The completion and reward checkboxes are independent: you can reach or finish a place without having checked every intended reward. They are your records, not a readout from the game.
Before a detour or repeated rest, inspect active quests. CAPCOM warns that elapsed time can progress some objectives. The convenience of a route should therefore be considered alongside what you have already accepted in the journal.
Know the limits of this route reference
The route was reviewed from a published walkthrough, not personally retested in the current game version. No exact travel time, monster respawn loop, full loot table or map coordinate layer is supplied. For an equipment goal, start from a named equipment record and confirm that its source actually names the dungeon before assuming the item is inside.
