Unlock the archistaff vocation
Klaus at the Vernworth Vocation Guild starts Vocation Frustration. Recover the requested archistaff and return it to the guild to resolve the Sorcerer requirement. The same quest also covers the greatsword needed for Warrior. The Grievous Horns reference identifies a relevant Trevo Mine chest weapon.
Use the vocation menu after the hand-in. Keep a distinction between unlocking a class, equipping its weapon and learning its individual abilities; completing the first step does not automatically complete the others.
Cast, recover and relocate
Sorcerer is an offensive spellcasting vocation using archistaves. Galvanize is a core stamina-recovery action; moving affects its efficiency. Quickspell trades stamina for faster incantation. Together, these actions make resource planning part of the role rather than something to consider only when a bar is already empty.
Mage’s support kit should not be assumed to transfer unchanged to Sorcerer. Read the Mage page before replacing a party’s recovery role with another offensive caster.
A suggested encounter routine
This sequence is an editorial starting point, not a measured damage rotation. Find a position with room to move. Choose a spell for the current opening, then check the stamina you have left before accelerating or committing to another cast. Relocate when the situation changes instead of treating the original firing position as permanent.
If you are repeatedly interrupted, separate the causes: the opening may be too short, the position may be exposed or several enemies may be approaching from different directions. A larger damage statistic does not directly answer any of those problems.
Equipment and party checks
A Mage staff and a Sorcerer archistaff are not interchangeable simply because both support magick. Start with the family label, then compare the actual equipped item. Our named sample currently includes Grievous Horns; it is an acquisition reference, not a complete archistaff ranking.
When recruiting allies, ask who covers recovery and who can operate close to enemies while you cast. A second ranged attacker may add offense, but it does not automatically solve a missing support job. Use the party guide to make these assumptions explicit.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sorcerer a mandatory upgrade from Mage?
No. They use different weapon families and fill different casting roles.
Can a Sorcerer Pawn join the party?
Yes. Sorcerer is available to Pawns as well as the Arisen.
