Help Gautstafr and meet Cliodhna

Put a Spring in Thy Step is the documented unlock quest. Meet Gautstafr on Agamen Volcanic Island, provide the requested assistance, visit his home and escort him to the hot springs at Geyser Hamlet. Cliodhna is the vocation’s unlock contact. Speak again after the quest resolution rather than leaving immediately after the first reward message.

Follow the quest’s current objective and requested items. This summary does not invent a mandatory level, time-of-day restriction or shortcut through a route we have not checked. Reaching the island and completing the escort are separate tasks.

Prepare before the escort

Our suggested preparation is to handle equipment and supplies before committing to the journey. Decide which companion covers recovery and which handles enemies that approach at close range. During an escort, periodically check the objective and the escorted character’s position rather than assuming that arriving at a marker alone resolves the task.

These are planning recommendations, not a claim that one fixed party guarantees completion. Use the exploration guide to keep travel, recovery and return arrangements in the same checklist.

Magick bows are a separate family

Magick Archer is restricted to the Arisen and uses magick bows. An item usable by the physical Archer is not automatically usable here. Check the weapon-family label in a shop or inventory before comparing numbers.

The vocation unlock also should not be confused with obtaining every skill. A skill mentioned in a build may require its own learning step. Check those prerequisites before spending equipment money to reproduce another loadout.

Current equipment coverage

Gear Finder now includes Herald’s Helix and Dragon’s Breath as named magick-bow references. Select Magick Archer in the named-weapon panel, or choose the magick-bow family. The separate family reference explains compatibility even when a particular item has not been catalogued.

Their recorded shop sources are acquisition references, not proof that either weapon is already accessible in your save. Compare the actual equipment and enhancement state in game. The catalogue remains partial and does not rank one reference as universally best.
