Unlock the vocation at the Reverent Shrine
Luz at the Reverent Shrine in Battahl is the documented unlock contact. Speak with her and then use the Vocation Guild’s selection menu. The published unlock guide does not require waiting for Flickering Shadows before visiting the shrine.
Treat the vocation unlock separately from later skill or maister requirements. Completing one conversation is not evidence that every advanced technique is already learned.
You control the encounter differently
Trickster uses a censer to create illusions and support its Pawn party rather than operating like a conventional direct-damage sword class. Its decoy-based play and party empowerment change which part of a fight the player manages. Aromatic Rally is a party-enhancing skill with a health cost for affected Pawns; it is not free damage without a downside.
The vocation is Arisen-only. You cannot simply recruit a Trickster Pawn and expect it to perform the player’s illusion-management job for you.
A suggested party-first approach
Before changing to Trickster, examine your companions as the group expected to capitalize on the openings you create. Ask who can attack at range, who handles nearby targets and who supplies recovery. Three copies of the same job can make a missing capability harder to compensate for.
Our suggested practice is to change one thing at a time: learn where to position a decoy, observe how enemies respond, then decide whether an empowerment action is useful. Pay attention to ally condition after using a skill with a cost. This is a practice framework, not a promise of an exploit or a measured optimal party.
Reading censer equipment
The Redolent Whisper record supplies a documented shop source and reference attributes. Those numbers should not be fed into a sword-damage comparison. The first release of the database stores attributes; it does not implement a censer effectiveness formula or a best-in-slot ranking.
Keep the distinction between equipment compatibility and a useful party setup. A valid censer equips the role, but understanding the companions and encounter is still necessary. Continue with the Pawn system reference and party preparation guide.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Pawn be a Trickster?
No. The Arisen performs this role.
Should I rank a censer like a sword?
No. The vocation works through illusions and party support; ordinary melee-damage assumptions are inappropriate.
