Skills and Augments: Unlocks, Ranks and DCP
Separate weapon skills from passive augments, understand vocation ranks and review four source-linked augment examples with individual DCP costs.
- Rank
- Vocation rank, not character level
- DCP entries
- Individual purchase costs, not total build costs

Identify which kind of ability you are reading
A vocation guide can refer to weapon skills, core skills or augments. Those terms are not interchangeable. Weapon-skill advice describes an action used with the relevant equipment; an augment supplies a passive effect when equipped. A core-skill description should not be counted as if it were an extra slotted weapon skill.
Use the appropriate in-game menu and current version when assembling a loadout. This page deliberately does not hard-code a maximum weapon-skill slot count from a launch-era guide.
Unlocking is not the same as equipping
Augments become available through vocation progression and DCP purchases. A learned augment can be equipped across vocations, but learning it alone does not make it permanently active. Check the equipped augment list after changing your build. The Arisen's purchases and the main Pawn's setup should be reviewed separately.
The rank in an unlock table refers to the named vocation, not your character's overall level. Likewise, a DCP number is the price of that particular entry; it is not the total cost of unlocking a vocation, levelling it and purchasing every ability mentioned in a build.
Four augment references
| Augment | Unlock reference | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Intervention | mage rank 6 1,800 DCP | Shortens the duration of debilitations.Game8: Intervention |
| Exaltation | mage rank 9 5,000 DCP | Improves Stamina recovery.Game8: Exaltation |
| Dominance | warrior rank 8 3,000 DCP | Increases Knockdown Power.Game8: Dominance |
| Zeal | warfarer rank 6 1,800 DCP | Reduces Stamina use by weapon skills.Game8: Zeal |
These examples cover debilitation duration, recovery, knockdown and weapon-skill Stamina use. They are not a strongest-to-weakest ranking. Dominance is the Warrior augment in this table; similarly named entries should not be substituted without checking their vocation and effect.
Choose a passive for a specific problem
Our suggested approach is to name the problem before spending points. Running out of Stamina during an action and waiting too long for recovery are related but different issues. Losing control after a debilitation is another problem entirely. Compare the relevant descriptions and the current loadout rather than combining several appealing names without a purpose.
For a support-oriented example, read the Mage build. For a different weapon setup, use the vocation directory and verify that its active skills belong to the equipment you will actually carry. No numerical percentage improvements or damage simulations have been added to these four qualitative augment records.
Reference scope
Selected base-game reference records, not an exhaustive or live-patch database. Sources were reviewed through published pages and search-index excerpts where direct access was unavailable. No personal gameplay test is claimed. Armor values are unenhanced references; prices precede discounts. A null price means not established, not free.
Check the game for changes to individual costs, effects or menu rules. The cited unlock rows are useful acquisition references, not proof of a complete current-patch ability database. Warfarer also has its own equipment and ability considerations; cross-vocation augments should not be confused with unrestricted access to every other kind of skill.
