A Fighter alternative to a sword

Maces are the blunt weapon option associated with Fighter. They are a different family from Warrior's two-handed hammers. Fighter Pawns can use them, and Warfarer broadens the Arisen's compatibility. A mace can be considered alongside a shield, rather than as an instruction to switch to Warrior.

The useful first comparison is between compatible weapons and their recorded damage type, element and enhancement state. The name of the category alone does not establish the best weapon for your next opponent.

The Exalted reference

The shared table also includes Molten Fury. Its recorded acquisition is chest at Mountain Base Cave. Read the source and access notes before treating it as an available upgrade.

The Exalted supplies a Holy-element example in this catalogue. The row records a lower-floor chest in Drabnir's Grotto, with its source linked directly. That source also contains a separate postgame shop section and broad availability wording. We therefore do not infer a universal story prerequisite from it or provide a guaranteed early-game route.

2 selected maces records. Base reference values before enhancement, reviewed 2026-10-12. This is not an exhaustive list or a current-patch gameplay test. Each name links to its canonical acquisition record; the row's source supports its recorded values.

Read the attributes separately

The Exalted has both Strength and Magick in the published reference. Adding those values does not calculate the damage of a hit: this page has no simulation of your character, attack or target. Likewise, Knockdown is a recorded equipment attribute, not a chance that the next swing will topple a monster.

Our suggested decision process is to compare this candidate with the sword or mace you already use, including enhancement state and your intended element. A Holy example is not evidence that every mace has Holy damage.

Before changing the loadout

Check Fighter's role and skills and the actual equip screen. Keep your existing weapon until you have confirmed the replacement works with your setup. For a searchable view of these same acquisition notes, use Gear Finder. The catalogue is selective, so one reviewed mace does not mean there is only one mace in the game.
